Underwater Kiss

Description

I tried to give them lips and mouths and whatnot, but it really just wasn't coming out well. So I kept it blank.

Normally, Sae doesn't like swimming, and he would never put his head under water. But he's willing to make an exception this one time, seeing as he didn't do it willingly. Kay neglected to tell him that her water magic makes it so she doesn't really need to breathe under water, and he gets a little worried when she doesn't come up for air. Now, water in the Anara Lands tends to be pretty murky and can make people feel... Well, it depends on the circumstances, but it made Kay feel really strong and confident. So she was convinced that everything would go perfectly if she just dragged him under.

Now, he doesn't exactly mind the kiss, if you can't tell. It was just really unexpected, and his eyes are burning now because he didn't manage o close them before hitting the water... fire and water don't usually mix. But lucky him, he doesn't need to breathe as long as their touching!

I took some creative liberties with what underwear looked like in medieval times. I know what they looked like in Roman times, but Wikipedia gets pretty vague for the middle ages.

I can't believe people actually use to wear codpieces, though. XD

Also, does it actually look like they're underwater?

personally I think it does look like they are underwater and hey creative liberty is part of the fun of drawing. But your style is improving and it looks a lot nicer than say this time last year. Personally, I'm impressed with the improvements you have made in proportions and such. Also I didn't notice the mouth thing until I read your description and I could tell they were kissing. Honestly, kisses are hard to visually get right anyway/
